Doug Fir: Portland’s Hipster Scene

Chris, Ioan, Lawrence, Celeste and I went to a X-Mas/Birthday Party last night at Portland’s new hipster place, Doug Fir.

I had a blast catching up with Celeste and hangin with new and old friends. Many folks were commenting on this bar…how “hot” it is now. …but that in a year or so no one will remember it.

The owners are young folks I think and they spent a few million to design it. Hopefully they are getting a good return on their investment now if in fact it loses the “hot” label.

Now that I read this, why am I writing about “hot” portland stuff. Who cares? Anyway, I think I am posting here because it was a good laugh and I want to remember good times like this. I ended up with a blonde wig on by the end of the night…I’ll dig up pictures sometime.
