Fly Fishing on the Fall River in Oregon

02102007.jpgI went fly fishing for the 1st time in my life today. It was not much above freezing, but it was still a lot of fun. One of my favorite parts of this is that I was focusing on casting, presenting the flies and following the fish for about 6 hours. I did not think about work, the world or anything else. Hoping todo it again. Thanks to DHiner for showing me the ropes. The picture listed here is 1 of 3 that I caught today.

Nice catch Sean. I hope you put the wee fella back in the water to live for another few decades..or so.

Reminded me of The River Runs Through It. You can “sense” the 100% focus, sheer joy the father and sons shared in this one part of their relationship.

Sean did well,

He quickly picked up casting, and managed a few fish to boot!!!!

Sean I’m looking forward to showing you my local rivers around Eugene. Next time we’ll float the Mckenzie.
