Ben Stein on Capitalism

He makes some good points about Capitalism:

  • how it has been good for a lot of people (including himself)
  • how the whole system is built on trust

He wrote the article while talking about how he enjoys the fruits of capitalism, but wonders if it’ll keep going like this forever based on today’s events of dishonesty at so many levels in so many companies.

I wonder the same thing sometimes. The US has had a good run from a few colonies a few 100 years ago to the economic superpower in the world. It probably won’t last forever…just remember history always repeats itself. Always.
