Meeting new people

Just got back from Oba’s in the Pearl District. I met up with Ioan (he’s working on the site), Jennifer (his new roommate) and Michelle (another Romanian).

We stayed for about an hour and 1/2 and I got a chance to talk to Michelle about Romania, her impressions of it, Boston (that’s were she is based now) and Portland. Good stuff.

On the way home I spoke with Maryann, who will be visiting me next week. She went to an all day beach party in San Diego. Evidentally, she said it was like Baywatch. She commented that the US is a great place to live. I had to agree…the more I have travelled, the more appreciate all the opportunites and lifestyle here.
