Ron Artest’s Ego: Can be a horrible thing

You make 10’s of millions of dollars playing a game and you are in your mid-20’s.  A fan throws a cup of beer at you and it hits you in your chest.  What do you do?  If you are Ron Artest, you jump into the stands and start pounding on fans and risk it all.  Despite the emotion at the time, an extremely bad choice.  I actually like Ron Artest the basketball player…I don’t like the choice he made last nite for sure.

Then again, what would I have done in the same situation?  I hope not what Artest did.

Holy crap - I saw several replays of that fight and I can honestly say that is the worst player/fan altercation I have ever seen. Of course everyone involved is going to blame someone else…

When I saw the replay of the fight it actually gave me a physical reaction. I thought I was going to throw up. Who the heck are these people?! Sean, you’re right. Artest made a horrible choice. As people, our greatest power is the power to choose. We all make choices that ultimately effect where we are in life. He should have made another choice. Now get ready for the blame game.

“Our greatest power is the power to choose.” And what an awesome power that is. If Artest learned something from this, the incident is not in vain.

I doubt whether you would have made the same choice, Sean.

Let’s go on with the game. Yes, Liz.
