How to avoid Boredom, Vice and Want

I like work. Always have. Like the shape and focus it
gives my days, the opportunity to put something of
myself into an endeavour. Like how it makes me feel
I’m accomplishing something.

I’m not alone. Work relieves us from three great
evils: boredom, vice and want: A French proverb. Work
is love made visible: Kahlil Gibran. One of my
favourite pieces of advice about work - and life -
comes from humorist Mark Twain: Work like you don’t
need the money. Love like you’ve never been hurt.
Dance like nobody is watching.
