Random Stuff: Fall 2005

I’ve had a lot of stuff that I thought I would blog about recently (the past month or so) - just not the time todo it.  With HTC, LDay Party, Ducks games and a bunch of business stuff - there is little time to blog.

So- some random thoughts…

- this was the best summer I have had since 1997…the summer I traveled a bit and worked in yellowstone.  I feel like I fully took advantage of the weather and Oregon and got todo and see things that I had not done in previous years.  Every other summer I would say, "next summer" I’m gonna go for it.  With that thought, I was a bit sad for a few minutes the other day when I realized that the summer is over.  It was so good.  Then I realized how much other stuff there is todo now and look forward to…I was not sad for long.

"When is bigger not better Keener?" - when I asked Mika if bigger is better when building the firepit.

- was reading this Oregonian article on the crapper yesterday…there was a tinge of panic in that piece - the jist of it was more jobs were created in Oregon last 6 months, BUT - so many people are moving to Oregon that the unemployment rate was still going up.  My thoughts are what about all the people that are sefl-employed and starting companies - do they get counted in those numbers.  yeah - there might not be enuff jobs for all the people moving - but I guarantee that there is still tonnes of opportunity - so why not start a company?

- farting, burping and stuff like that…I thought when I was a kid and it was funny, that I would get over it as I got older and it wouldn’t be funny so much.  Well - it still is funny.  I met with many people this summer from all over this country/world - and they all burp/fart and think it is funny.  I don’t do it when it’s not appropriate etc, but it sure can be funny at the right time.
