Why be a BootsnAll Member?
We recently updated the BootsnAll membership section recently and it has been a lot of fun considering some of the content on these pages was years old. It got me thinking….
Why become a BootsnAll member?
You are more than passingly interested in travel. In fact, you have thought of quitting your job or taking some time out of life to travel the world. BootsnAll is for you.
It’s free to join our community, but we do read every single application. The Thorn Tree doesn’t do that. Name some other travel community that spends as much time and money on this as we do? Yeah, it doesn’t show up on the balance sheet but we are and have been greeting and screening our members since January 1999. There’s less of the bad stuff often associated with Web message boards and a lot more of the good stuff.
Travel Blogs that connect with other travelers. You can goto blogspot or another free hosting place…but when you build your travel blog with BootsnAll, you get a community of travelers that are interested in reading about your trip as well as 20 different designs, and tags that connect your posts to the rest of the BootsnAll Travel Network.
If you are a person that cares about the world and wants to learn more about it, the BnA boards is a good place todo the planning and mentally preparing oneself for travel. Because we screen and are like this, we attract like minded folks.
You want to meet other travelers. Web 2.0, Hocus Pocus social networking…it has been going on for years at BootsnAll. Meet other travelers and learn/share your experiences and stories.
Insiders Baby! - BootsnAll members available via email to answer the questions that the guide book just doesn’t. Yes, our list has been growing for 7+ years and not everyone is active anymore. It is still a great place to connect and learn.
You want to climb Kili, do the Inca trail and get lost in South East Asia. whether you are traveling for 2 weeks and want and adventure or you want to go for months on end…BootsnAll is for you
It’s Exclusive. Not everyone is one and like all your friends that have myspace profiles. If you don’t care, don’t want or have no interest in travel, if you are a jackass, if think you know everything, BootsnAll most likely is not the place for you. We are not yahoo, or whatever mega registration website. We know and try hard to cultivate the community and have been for sometime. Hopefully we are doing a good job and I think out of the 1000s of BnA members I have met/communicated with over the years, I think we are.
If any of this resonates with you, apply today and make sure you fill out all the questions…we read it!
Thanks to Jessie, Chris and others for helping update this section.
Extra CreditName the 4 BootsnAll folks in the picture above.
