Law Firms Mull the ‘Gen Y’ Equation

Gen Y Article.

Studies indicate that young workers are less willing to put in long hours and instead are more focused on pursuing interests outside work than were their predecessors.

Interesting on how generations differ. I think they called Gen X slackers about 10+ years ago or so, then we grew up and figured out that slacking is fun for a while, but nothing beats hard work and pursuing goals.

Looking at the big picture - is what I saw that differentiates this generation from previous ones - at least the ones with the best of education and smarts who can command pretty much what they get based on what they want - with a question mark? For the others (and I assume a larger portion of that generation), I tend to think “compromise” is the word with “priority” a close second, or is it the other way around.
