Affording Retirement Tomorrow Means Spending More Today: Money Matters

A revolutionary approach to socking away your nest egg

Give me a break…revolutionary. HA. Good advice…but hardly revolutionary. Kinda funny watching marketing speak…it’s all bullshit. My friends that read this, please tell me if I ever sound like a marketing brochure…just so I know. I hope I don’t.

Similar to the U.S. budget - spend today to spend tomorrow - if there’s any left.

Alot of people need to live by that to have any hope for retirement. I don’t know that I could ever bring myself to pay my house off. Especially since it appreciates at a higher rate than the APR on the mortgage…

Anyway…Suze Orman has some good ideas, but they aren’t necessarily rules to live by for people who like to take risks like me. I assume you are somewhat the same way, Sean…Then again, I suppose if we were in our 50’s and had no retirement money saved up, it would be a much different situation.

While we’re on the topic of houses, check this out…

It’s going on right down the street from my house (love the news helicopters at 5:30 in the morning).
