It fixed tumors in the brain.
I am still posting on Bootblog.
Interesting to see who owns, sells shares/% in Lonely Planet.
I am an 8 hour layover in Turkey’s Airport today after a 4 am departure from Delhi. I am wiped. But they do have free Wi-fi near the Airport Hotel – signs everywhere point to the Aiport Hotel in International Termimal.
Off to Bucharest to meet ACB in a few hours.
Chris and I have been chatting about business stuff most days since I have been in Bali…today – a few personal comments came through that were funny – maybe he can be a play by play announcer?

Nick and I were at Cafe Moka (in Bali, Indonesia) the other day and we were discussing business with some other expats. What makes a business unique. Attitude, passion and stuff like that. The book, A Man’s Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl came up. I have read in a few times – but not in the past 7 years or so. I will pick it up again. Great book…what reminded me of it, was JCal’s reference to the book in this post.
Enjoy and hope everone is well.
I caught an earlier flight out of LAX so I have about 4 hours in HK versus 1. When I opened up the ibook in HK airport – there are 2 wi-fi networks…both are paid access – but the wi-fi connect one allows you to set up a test account for 24 free hours. Good little tip for folks coming through not so often.
Got to see Finding Neverland on the flight over. Fantastic movie. That Johnny Depp guy is a pretty good actor, eh? Every movie I see him in he is phenomenal and/or the movie is excellent.
Also saw parts of National Treasure and some other shithouse crap.
At PDX waiting for my flight to LAX. U of I is making a run in the 2nd half to make this a game – back w/in 5 – but North Carolina still looks strong. I do love it when a less talented team (U of I) tries to compete and beat a more talented team (UNC)…not many times does the underdawg win – but when they do – it is beautiful.
I remember Mr. Mau – in like 5th grade gym class – told us – Basketball is one of those games where a team though not as big, strong, quick – if they play together well – is capable of beating a vastly superior talented team. Villinova 20 years ago was a good example. Maybe Illini will do it here.
Chrisso and I just watched both Final 4 games. Good to see the Illini win convincingly. It’s beautiful to watch them play…patient, team oriented basketball.
Last time they were in the final 4 – I watched them lose to Michigan at Moreth’s house with Scotty and Mr. Moreth. Rumeal Robinson shot, weakside over the back rebound by Sean Higgins put back beat them at the end. Brian and I were gutted…this was 16 years ago. Wow.
I reckon he did the best he could..growing up Catholic…I never related to him. He always dressed up in funny outfits and talked latin/polish/something else and told me/other catholics what was right/wrong.
After just reading his obituary – sounds like an interesting man. Hopefully the church will pick a more progressive leader for the next pope. A chance to relate to gen X-ers and Y-ers is here…or else they can keep telling us that contraceptives are a sin and other stupid shit like that.
I bought a 12-inch Apple iBook last week. Carrying my 8 pound laptop has gotten old and I don’t want to do it on my upcoming trip. I have gone overseas with my 8 pounder a 1/2 dozen times and don’t want to lug it again. So far…the user interface/user experience of this little bugger is excellent so far. We’ll see if I still like it after a month of using it on the road.
