Dont Travel: I mean Dont Go

I’ve decided to cancel my Around the World Trip.  It just is too dangerous to go….travel is more dangerous now that at any point in the history of mankind.  I am so into it, that I put together a little website…

Don’t Go

I’m sure you’ll agree with me – reading the news – and our US government…they just scare me shitless about international travel…I just have to take it into consideration now.

Flickr Photos of Spring Training

Photo recap of last weekend.

It took awhile for me to actually use my Flickr account…very easy and fun to use.  It could be addictive I reckon.  If you are my friend and sign-up let me know so we can "be friends" on Flickr and crap like that.  If you can’t figure it out, I’ll send an invite to you.

Google Adsense on Sean.Keener.org

You’ll notice on individual post pages as this, that a little google adsense ad is there.  Chris and I are testing it for placement and some other things for a little bit.  I don’t suspect or want it there for long.  Just letting you know. 🙂

Wall Street Journal and other stuff

The past few weeks, the BootsnAll Travel Network and it’s sites have been mentioned, BootsnAll members have been quoted in a tonne of magazines and newspapers.

Last week the Wall Street Journal had an artile on travel communities and we are mentioned, quoted etc.

A bunch of newspapers (via AP_ quoted me and stuff on springbreak and stuff.

So much that I can’t keep track. Hopefully, Donovan will update our Press Section so when folks come to our website and see that one of the founders took his pants off, they might still take us a little bit seriously.

A friend of mine from Acadia just mentioned that he loves the Irish Jokes listed here. Good to know that a little laughter is being spread via this. Cheers Zak.

Have you ever been to Fuckit, Thailand?

I was chatting with a friend tonight…and she asked me in a serious tone,

“Have you ever been to Fuckit, Thailand?”

I never heard of it – until she spelled it…P-H-U-K-E-T. I laughed out load hard…I suppose it was an honest pronunciation error.

Reminds of the time in the old office when I pronouced Tanzania like Tan-zany-a. Chris and Nick laughed there arses off at my pronunciation.

Mondays: I love ’em

It’s 8:45 pm and Chris and I are just finishing up our day.  I got up at 5:45 and was at my desk by 6 am.  The day never stopped.  Meetings and lotsa things todo to prepare for my upcoming RTW trips and make sure all is done before leaving….

Even though today was a long day – the 14+ hours went by in a flash.  I know a few people who dread mondays…I hope I always like ’em.  Can’t wait for manana.  G’nite.

Baseball Gods are Smiling upon me

Yesterday was one of those great days…where everything fell into place.  From Dusty Baker reserving our seats at HoHoKam to hanging out with Buck Showalter’s family at a night time Rangers game.  2 spring training games in 1 day and such an intimate atmosphere…I just loved it.  I reckon we should set-up BootsnAll SouthWest office for a few weeks every winter so we can work down here and enjoy spring training.  Who wants to join me next winter?  Let’s rent a house with Internet and a nearby gym and go for it.

Here are a few pictures till I have time to write up more stories.

Confirmation: I am not smart

Chris and I are at the Widmer Brewery inside PDX on our way to PHX.  2 hours ago, as we were preparing to go, Chris walked up to me with the flight confirmations – I had accidentally booked April 20th instead of today.  A quick phone call and a small fee has us on our way now – but with no return flight.  We’ll figure it out somehow – I’m not worried – for now – a few meetings and then some Spring Training Cubbies action.
